Our Curriculum

Mathematics

Mathematics is one subject that pervades life at any age and in any circumstance. Thus, its value goes beyond the classroom and the school. Mathematics as a school subject, therefore, must be learned comprehensively and with much depth. The twin goals of mathematics in the basic education levels are Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.

Language & Arts

All human relationships are established on the ability of people to communicate effectively with each other. Our thoughts, values and understandings are developed and expressed through language. This process allows students to understand better the world in which they live and contributes to the development of their personal perspectives of the global community.

Science

Science education aims to develop scientific literacy among learners that will prepare them to be informed and participative citizens who are able to make judgments and decisions regarding applications of scientific knowledge that may have social, health, or environmental impacts.

Civics/Social Studies

The goal of the Social Studies Curriculum is to form critical, reflective, responsible, productive, environmental-friendly, nationalistic, and humane citizens with a national and global perspective and appreciation regarding historical and social issues

Bible and Values

This subject aims to introduce students to stories and lessons from the Bible, which they can apply to their daily lives. Values are not only taught during this subject, but integrated throughout all the subjects offered in school

Mother Tongue

The Mother Tongue subject is education, formal or non - formal, in which the learner’s mother tongue and additional languages are used in the classroom. Learners begin their education in the language they understand best - their mother tongue - and develop a strong foundation in their mother language before adding additional languages.

Filipino

The objectives of the Filipino subject is to cultivate the communication, reflections/ critical thinking, and literary appreciation of the students through reading materials and technology for national identity, cultural and literacy, and lifelong learning to adapt world’s progress and changes.

MAPE-Computer

Both the Music and the Arts curricula focus on the learner as recipient of the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for artistic expression and cultural literacy. Fitness and movement education content is the core of the K to 12 PE Curriculum. It includes value, knowledge, skills and experiences in physical activity participation in order to achieve and maintain health-related fitness, as well as (2) optimize health. The computer subject allows our students to keep up with the technological advancements in today’s day and age, specifically focusing on the computer itself.

Home Economics/TLE

This subject is geared toward the development of technological proficiency and is anchored on knowledge and information, entrepreneurial concepts, process and delivery, work values, and lifeskills.

Education plays an important role in the development of a child's character. Therefore, we decided to enroll our daughter in Lora Carnig School of All Nations (LCSN)—as their motto is “Educating for Eternity”. The dedication of the teachers, the administrators, and the staff is commendable, and their positive influence is evident in our daughter’s progress—spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. Teachers are kind, patient, communicative and provides feedback on time. Learning is encouraged not only through formal classes, but also through music lessons, social activities, chapels, special events and programs. Even through this COVID pandemic, LCSN was able to transition learning activities to online-modality very smoothly. Offline or online, our family has been very blessed. My husband and I vowed to provide our child an education that has eternal value. For us, that kind of education is found in a Seventh-day Adventist school where teachers and administrators reflect God’s character in their words, thoughts and actions. Everyday we strive to provide our child a village of men and women of faith because we believe the more examples of faith-in-action our child is exposed to, the stronger his faith in God will be. So why did we choose Lora Carnig School of all Nations? Let me share two of our first-hand experiences that convinced us we have finally found the perfect educational institution for our child. During the enrolment on the first year of our child in this school, we overheard teacher Meg say she was stressed that day and when her mom heard that, she immediately stopped what she was doing and said, “Come nak, mag pray tayo”. Teacher Meg then went closer to her mom and they prayed. I am sure they were not aware we were nearby and witnessing that warmed our hearts; right then and there we knew the administrators of this school are God-fearing people. That was a big check on our criteria. On another occasion, my child’s class was noisy during their online class break. Some of the students were fighting verbally and when the teacher came online, she listened to the complaints and reports of the students and calmly replied by quoting Philippians 4:8, “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things”. Hearing the teacher say that without pointing fingers or maligning the specific student the whole class reported to be the cause of the problem gave me peace of mind and confidence we have found teachers who are true and consecrated missionaries. I could cite more but these two encounters we have with LCSN teachers and administrators are enough to assure us our child is in the midst of God-sent emissaries ready and faithful to continue the training we have at home in school. In them we have found worthy partners in education. We are certain they will resound Bible truths in their teaching ministry. For us, LCSN teachers and administrators are angels in human form who will educate their students that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and that Heaven must be our goal.

Loving LORA What I love about this school? * I loved their educational system - academics (class dojo, prerecorded videos), spiritual (chapel period with pathfinder & adventurer), and music (recitals) - definitely at par! * I loved their way of communicating with us parents in a lot of ways (Class dojo, FB post, Messenger & Text)- we will never miss a thing because they are the ones reaching out to us not us parents asking them "what's next" as their programs are very well planned and organized!
